Australian Avalon Airshow 2013

RMIT University is promoting the concept of next generation fuel resources in aircraft at the 2013 Avalon Airshow. Students from RMIT spent the week speaking to trade professionals from many areas of the industry, informing them of the benefits of using liquid methane on board aircraft.

Cryogenic, liquid methane infrastructure has the potential to reform Avalon as Melbourne’s premier airport with its locality to shoreline a major benefit in system integration. In the not too distant future, Avalon Airport may fuel fleets using a refined liquid natural gas source such as liquid methane to fly more economical and cleaner aircraft.
